Welcome to Yuko's Cut Arts

The Japanese fine art called “Kiri-e.”

This popular Japanese art form uses cut paper to produce a hard-edged representation of a subject, with very high contrast when in its most basic form (e.g., black paper on a white background).

Over the last few years in Montreal, I have had a number of interesting experiences, e.g.:

Demonstration --- at Stewart Hall and in Old Montreal’s Pointe-à-Callière;
Exhibition --- at Stewart Hall and in a Blainville gallery;
Workshop --- at Au Papier Japonais in downtown Montreal.
